ATTOCK, Oct 11: No clue has been found to four members of a kidnappers’ gang who injured two police officials including the SHO of Attock Saddar in an encounter last week.

The SHO, Syed Shaukat Shah, and head-constable Mohammad Azam were shot at and injured by a five-member gang of kidnappers when the police raided their hideout near Balarjogi village in the jurisdiction of Hasanabdal Saddar police last Wednesday.

The police arrested one of the accused - Nazakat Ali - but his four accomplices identified as Inayat Elahi, Zahid Khan, Suleman and Zahir Khan succeeded to escape.

When connected, District Police Officer Tariq Hanif Joyia said a special team under his supervision was making hectic efforts to trace the accused.

He said initially Rs60,000 had been provided for the treatment of the SHO who was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi.
