Yousuf shines in AKU Twenty20 final

KARACHI, Oct 8: Yousuf Ahmed grabbed four wickets as Woodwards CC clinched the Aga Khan University Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament final, beating Dubai Islamic Bank by 25 runs at the AKU Sports Centre Ground on Sunday.

Batting first, Woodwards CC made 155 before being dismissed on the last ball of the 20th over. Athar Ali top-scored with 44 while Wasim Ahmed got 35.

DIB, in reply, were bowled out for 130 in 19.1 overs. Yousuf finished with four wickets for 23.

Asif Siddiqui produced superb all-round show (two wickets for 32 and 28 runs) failed to save his team from the defeat.

Mir Afzal Baig of AKU ‘A’ was named the best batsman and Moiz Mehdi of the same team was declared the best bowler of the tournament.
