SHIKARPUR, Oct 8: Two people were killed in a clash between Dahani and Mangi tribes in Shatto Mangi village in the jurisdiction of Madeji police station of Garhi Yasin taluka on Monday.

Muharram Ali Dahani of Abdul Rehman Dahani village and Roshan Ali Mangi when the two groups clashed near a paddy encampment near their villages.

The motive behind the murders is said to be an old dispute over land. Police have registered the case.

In another incident, one Qurban Ali Khaskheli of Jacobabad was killed in crossfire between police and dacoits on the Shikarpur-Sukkur road near Lakhi late on Sunday night.

Qurban Ali was travelling in a car from Sukkur to Jacobabad when the encounter took place between police and dacoits who were allegedly attempting to rob a coach coming from Shikarpur.—Correspondent
