ISLAMABAD, Oct 6: Former state minister for communications Mohammad Shahid Jamil Qureshi, an accused in a murder case, was brought to the National Assembly from Adiala Jail to cast his vote in the presidential election on Saturday morning.

Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain on Friday had issued his production order and directed the authority concerned to bring him to parliament.

Mr Qureshi, who has been on judicial remand, was driven to the National Assembly at 7am by the jail and Shalimar police personnel.— Staff Reporter
