LAKKI MARWAT, Oct 6: Various programmes were held here in Government Centennial Model High School under the auspices of the National Commission for Human Development to mark the ‘Salam Teachers Day’ on Saturday.

Students took part in the debate, Husn-i-Qirat and Na’at Khwani competitions. Besides EDO schools and literacy department Mohammad Umar and district programme manager (education) of NCHD Aamir Mohammad Khattak, officials of the NCHD and education department and teachers attended the event.

In the debate competition, Farhad Pasha secured first position while Irfanullah and Faisal Ayub obtained second and third positions, respectively.

In the Husn-i-Qirat competition, Mohammad Haroon Shah stood first while Sajidullah Khan and Fahimullah Khan remained second and third, respectively. In Na’at Khwani, Attaur Rehman was declared first while Waseemullah stood second and Qudratullah Khan got third position.

The teachers who were awarded certificates include Fazlur Rehman, Illauddin, Mohammad Iqbal, Mohammad Yasin, Mir Ahmad, Wahiduddin, Masoom Khan, Abdul Hakim, Noorullah and Ghulam Mursalin Marwat.
