SWABI: Draw for township on 9th

SWABI, Oct 5: Officials of the Swabi Development Authority said on Friday that draw for Shahmansoor Township would be held on October 9 at the Hall of Shahmansoor Polytechnic College.

District Nazim Shahram Khan, who is also chairman of the governing body of the township, had been urged by the applicants to hold the draw.

People belonging to different walks of life demanded that balloting for plots should be held immediately.

They said they had applied for flats in May this year and the issue of delaying the draw was discussed in the district council. A total of 11,528 applicants deposited Rs461.122 million for plots in the township.

Each applicant purchased the form at the rate of Rs1,500 which is non-refundable.

A total of 107 plots have been demarcated in the township.

A total number of 13,900 forms had been purchased by people.
