Destruction of school condemned

VIENNA, March 20: Austrian politicians on Wednesday condemned the Israeli army’s destruction of an Austrian-financed school in Gaza.

Opposition Social Democrat deputy leader in parliament Caspar Einem spoke of “an act of political vandalism”. He said he could “in no way understand” the rocket attack on the school.

The Israeli government must give an explanation, and at the least refund the great material damage, he said in the Catholic press service Kathpress.—dpa
