KARACHI : Poll session summoned

KARACHI, Oct 3: Sindh Assembly Speaker Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah has summoned the provincial assembly on Friday, October 6, at 10am at the Sindh Assembly building.

According to an order issued by the speaker, the assembly has been called under Clause (b) of Rule 9 of the Presidential Election Rules, 1988, for the purpose of taking the poll for the election to the office of the president of Pakistan. On conclusion of the poll at 3pm on the same day, the assembly shall stand prorogued.

On the request of the Election Commission of Pakistan, the speaker, under Rule 216 of the Rules of Procedure, has declared the Sindh Assembly hall a polling station on Oct 6 with effect from 10am to 3pm for the purpose of the presidential election.
