MARDAN, Oct 2: A newly married woman allegedly hanged to death her husband over a domestic dispute in a village on Monday night, officials said.

Sources said that Roobi, who is stated to have been forced to marry Sher Haleem of Landay Shah village, allegedly gave her husband some intoxicating drink, which rendered him unconscious. Later, she hanged him. She also burned the body with a gas cylinder.

Police have registered a case against the woman on the complain of Haleem’s father.

Investigation is under way.
