SANGHAR : 32 bonded men freed

SANGHAR, Sept 28: The district and sessions judge, Ms Kausar Sultana, ordered release of 32 members of a peasant family on Thursday.

They were recovered by the civil judge Sanghar-I on Thursday on the orders of district and sessions judge from village Ghulam Ali Mari.

An application has been filed by the human rights activist, Bhagwan Das Bheel, stated that a relative of Abdul Rehman Mari, Ghulam Ali Mari, has detained 32 persons as bonded labours and they are working in his custody without any payment.

The civil judge along with Jhol police raided the village and recovered the people including women and children.

The Jhol police produced them in the court of district and sessions judge.

Paroo, Ratno, Gawindo, Berbal, Ms Mamal, Ms Lachmi, Ms Kasoonji and others recorded their statements. The court allowed them to go free. No case has been registered at Jhol police station. Both parties have been called again on Monday to appear before the court.
