PESHAWAR, Sept 27: Three people, including a clerk of the income tax department, filed here on Thursday nomination papers for the forthcoming presidential elections.

All candidates seem to be non-serious ones, as two of them have found no proposer or seconder while the third candidate’s papers carry the signature of a proposer but no seconder.

The persons who filed nomination papers are: Munir Ahmad Sherazi, a senior clerk in the income tax department, Peshawar; Advocate Itebar Khan, a former provincial joint secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q; and Sardar Muhammad Rafique Shehzada, a citizen from the Swabi district.

The proposer of Mr Sherazi is Maulana Rehmatullah Khan, an MNA of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F). The candidate’s nomination papers have no seconder.

The other two candidates have no proposer or seconder. They told media persons that they would produce their proposers and seconders at the time of scrutiny of their nomination papers.
