Published September 28, 2007

ISLAMABAD, Sept 27: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is considering various proposals to bring potential sectors into tax net. This was stated by Member Income Tax Usman Khalid Mirza here on Thursday while addressing traders at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).

Emphasising on broadening of tax base, he said there was a need to tap the huge revenue potential existed in various sectors of the economy to get the desired result. He assured that suggestion by taxpayers would be considered seriously as the government wanted to facilitate them.
