Aussies land in India for ODIs

BANGALORE, Sept 26: The Australian cricket team landed in Bangalore on Wednesday evening for their eight-match tour of India.The tourists play their first game of a seven-match one-day series against the host nation on Saturday in Bangalore.

The tour will also include a one-off Twenty20 match at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium. Adam Gilchrist will be the stand-in skipper on the tour till the time captain Ricky Ponting, who is accompanying the side, fully recovers from a hamstring injury.—Agencies
