LAHORE, Sept 25: Pakistan’s prolific middle-order batsman Mohammad Yousuf will now meet the chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday, Dawn learnt here on Tuesday.

The meeting was originally scheduled for Wednesday.

PCB’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) Shafqat Naghami wrote to Yousuf on Tuesday, informing him about the change in the date of the meeting.

The letter says: “Further to our letter dated Sept 22, 2007 and as advised to you over telephone, a slight change has been made to the schedule of your meeting with the chairman PCB.

The meeting has been re-scheduled for Sept 27, 2007 at 11am at the Gaddafi Stadium.”

Yousuf has joined the Indian Cricket League (ICL) after he was not selected for the inaugural Twenty20 World Championship which ended in South Africa on Monday.

The PCB, however, has been trying its level best to convince Yousuf to change his decision and the meeting on Thursday is a part of this campaign.
