Imran’s house raided four times

LAHORE, Sept 24: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf claims police conducted four raids on the residence of chairperson Imran Khan in Islamabad for his arrest while a number of the party workers have been taken in custody across Punjab.

According to a party press release issued here on Monday, the PTI presidents in Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Pakpattan have been arrested to prevent them from joining the All Parties Democratic Movement’s agitation against the presidential election.

Party’s Punjab president Ahsan Rasheed, secretary general Amin Zaki and information secretary Javed Iqbal termed the government action undemocratic and against all political norms. They, however, said such tactics would not deter the party workers from joining the lawyers’ rallies to be held on Sept 27 and Oct 6 as the PTI was determined to continue the struggle for restoring democracy in the country.

The PTI leaders were also critical of the recent hike in the prices of wheat flour and other essential commodities. They alleged that the elements behind the sugar crisis were now inflating the flour price to mint more money.
