PML-N women’s wing show

Published September 23, 2007

LAHORE, Sept 22: PML-N women’s wing activists held a demonstration outside the press club here on Saturday to protest forced deportation of their leader, Nawaz Sharif.

It was a better show as compared to the one organised by the All Parties Democratic Movement on Friday as over 150 women participated in Saturday’s protest while in the APDM demonstration the participation by all parties ranged between 500 and 700. Traffic remained suspended at Shimla Pahari Chowk for 20 minutes as some charged women activists lay on the ground and on the bonnets of passing-by vehicles. —Staff Reporter
