GHALANAI, Sept 22: Two alleged kidnappers, including an Afghan, were killed and their host surrendered when a tribal Lashkar attacked a house at Suran Darra in Baizai tehsil of Mohmand Agency on Saturday.

Residents said the Lashkar besieged a fortified compound in Musakhel village of Suran Darra and asked the inmates to surrender but instead they opened fire on the Lashkar men.

During the exchange of fire, Afghan outlaw Rahim Shah’s nephew, whose name could not be ascertained, and Karim were killed while, Jehanzeb, who had provided shelter to them, surrendered to the Lashkar.

Officials said that the Lashkar had warned the local people against criminal activities and providing shelter to criminals in the area. Sources said the gang was involved in various criminal activities and criminals were being sheltered by two local tribesmen Jehanzeb and Gul Khan.

They said the two men were involved in criminal activities and provided shelter to kidnappers against the collective decision of the people of Musakhel.

Gul Khan and his Afghan accomplice, Rahim Shah, were not present in the area.
