QUETTA, Sept 21: More than 1,000 employees of the Balochistan government have been recommended for promotion in next grades.

Their cases were reviewed here in a meeting of the Provincial Promotion Board that concluded here on Thursday.

The two-day-long meeting reviewed pending cases of 656 officials of education, health, board of revenue, food forest, fisheries and road and building departments working in grades between 17 and 20.

According to officials, 11 grade-19 officers of the Balochistan civil services and seven of the Balochistan secretariat service were recommended for promotion in grade-20. They said the board reviewed about 1,200 cases.
