CAPE TOWN, Sept 20: Pakistan will take on New Zealand while India will play Australia in the semi-finals of the Twenty20 World Cup on Saturday.

India beat South Africa by 37 runs in a Group E match in Durban on Thursday, eliminating the home team from the tournament. Scores: India 153-5 in 20 overs; South Africa 116-9 in 20 overs.

Pakistan laboured to a four-wicket win over Bangladesh at Newlands to earn a semi-final berth. Scores: Bangladesh 140 in 19.4 overs; Pakistan 141-6 in 19 overs.

Australia were the other semi-final qualifiers from the group after beating Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the first game of a double header. Scores: Sri Lanka 101 in 19.3 overs; Australia 102-0 in 10.2 overs.—Agencies
