Teenager kills stepmother

MURREE, Sept 19: A teenaged boy with the help of other family members killed his stepmother apparently in anger at his father’s second marriage, the police said on Wednesday.

Zakir, a resident of Aliot village, had wedded Tasleem about six months ago, enraging his first wife and children.

On Tuesday night, Zakir’s 17-year-old son Usman slit the throat of Tasleem when his father was not present in the house. Usman’s mother and sister assisted him in the gruesome act, the police said.—Correspondent
