KOHAT : Fine imposed on overchargers

KOHAT, Sept 17: The assistant coordination officer, Kohat, imposed fine on shopkeepers during raids in a bazaar to check prices here on Sunday.The officer accompanied by police officials checked prices of meat, grocery items and fruits.

He imposed a fine of Rs22,000 on 18 shopkeepers for selling commodities on high prices.

Some meat sellers were caught red handed demanding extra Rs60 to R50 per kilogram on beef and mutton. Some grocery shopowners were fined for not displaying price lists issued for the month of Ramazan.
