LAKKI MARWAT, Sept 12: Police seized some narcotics and illicit weapons in Tajazai and arrested 20 alleged drug traffickers on Wednesday.

Briefing local journalists at his office district police officer Waqif Khan said that people had lodged complaints with the area police about sale of hashish and display of illegal weapons in the Tajazai locality.

He said that a police party assisted by personnel of the Frontier Constabulary and anti-terrorist squad conducted a raid on the house of alleged drug pushers Zainul Aabidin alias Zainu, Samar Abbas and Latifur Rehman.

During the raid police seized one kg of hashish, 220 grams heroine, a Kalashnikov, a hand-grenade, 62 bullets, 4 spare magazines and fake currency notes,” the DPO claimed.

He further said that nearly 20 drug traffickers were booked during the operation.
