ISLAMABAD March 16: The European Union mission, which is in the country to see the possibility of sending a group of observers to oversee the general election to be held in October, will hold meetings with the leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and the Jamaat-i-Islami on Sunday.

The delegation, headed by European Commission’s official Markus Cornaro, held meetings with PML-N leaders Raja Zafarul Haq and a Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf team, led by its secretary-general, Mairaj Mohammad Khan, on Friday.

The delegation will hold its first meeting in the morning with a PML-Q team, led by its senior vice-president, Mohammad Ijazul Haq.

JI Chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed will receive the EU delegation in the afternoon at his Islamabad residence.
