Girl dies, eight hurt on road

VEHARI, March 16: A girl was killed and eight others received injuries in an accident late Friday night near Khanewal on the Lodhran-Faisalabad Road.

A speeding bus (7666-PRA) going to Faisalabad from Lodhran crashed into an oil-tanker (0985-Karachi) near Niazi Chowk. Shumaila (12) died instantly while eight others sustained wounds.

The injured Muhammad Ali, Ashiq, Azizan Bibi, Mukhtiar Bibi, Munir Ahmed, Manzooran Bibi, Abdul Ghani and Zahida Bibi were admitted to a local hospital. Police are going into the matter.
