HYDERABAD, Sept 8: The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) on Saturday advised consumers to constitute mohalla committees to persuade people to pay their water bills regularly.

A spokesman for the agency said that despite repeated reminders, many consumers had failed to clear dues in spite of the fact that they were provided the facility to pay in instalments.

The consumers who paid regularly suffered due to of the defaulters when the agency had to disconnect main line, which supplied water to multi-storey buildings and plazas.

GIRLS’ COLLEGE: Tando Muhammad Khan district would soon have a girl’s college and a vocational training centre for women to enable women to contribute to the development of society, said member of Implementation and Monitoring of the Planning Commission, Lieut Gen (Rtd) Mohammad Zubair on Friday.

He said after inaugurating a watercourse 15-L completed by Phulelli field team of Tando Saindad that 95 per cent people of rural areas depended on agriculture.
