LAHORE, Sept 6: The second one-dayer between Pakistan ‘A’ and Australia ‘A’ teams will be played in Sheikhupura on Friday.

The match will start at the scheduled time if there is no further rain in the district.

Mian Mohammad Munir, manager of Pakistan ‘A’ squad, told Dawn that though the Sheikhupura district received heavy rain on Thursday, the ground had been dried and was ready to host an international game after a long time.

However, he added that further rains at night could impede the start.

Pakistan are leading 1-0 in the three-match series after winning the opening game by a convincing margin of eight wickets at the Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, declaring all players fit, Munir said that off-spinner Atif Maqbool had also joined the squad, increasing the number of probables to 17 from which the playing eleven will be chosen before start of the match.
