HYDERABAD, Sept 4: Two rival groups of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) staged separate hunger strikes against the enforced disappearance of Dr Safdar Sarki, Asif Baladi, Basheer Shah, Chetan Bajir and other nationalist leaders, outside the press club here on Tuesday.

The activists of the organising committee completed 150 hours of their hunger strike on the sixth consecutive day. They had announced a 300 hours hunger strike for the release of the missing leaders.

A hunger striker, Zulfiqar Kolachi, general secretary of Malir district, fell unconscious due to weakness and was taken to Civil Hospital. A large number of organising committee workers visited the hunger strikers camp.

Meanwhile, the activists of the rival group (Basheer Qureshi group) also staged a demonstration and token hunger strike camp outside the press club for the recovery of missing leaders.
