BAHAWALPUR, Sept 3: A woman and her disabled daughter committed suicide reportedly after getting depressed because of frequent scuffles with male members of their family in Chak 14/DNB, about 40 kilometres away from here, on Monday.

Sarwar and Anwar used to quarrel over petty issues with their mother and sister who swallowed poison and ended up in a cemetery. Head Rajkan police have started investigation.

KILLED: A teenaged boy was killed while his pillion was injured when the motorcycle they were riding on hit a donkey-cart near Chak 51/DB on Yazman Road on Monday. Ijaz Naveed died on the spot while Shoaib was taken to a hospital, where he is in critical condition. Naveed’s family pardoned the cart owner, saying they did not want to prosecute him. — Correspondent
