LAHORE, Sept 1: The Election Commission has given its field staff another week to complete the process of updating electoral rolls by comparing the lists prepared for the 2002 polls with the draft rolls for the coming general election.
The EC had initiated the process on Aug 20 and was scheduled to complete it in two weeks. The Supreme Court had given the commission one month to enrol all eligible voters in the lists. According to EC sources, 46,000 centres have been established across the country for the purpose.
