OKARA, Sept 1: Former chief minister and PML central vice-president Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo says Gen Pervez Musharraf will shed his uniform by Nov 17.

“The uniform is not an issue now,” he told a news conference here on Saturday. He announced of the election alliance of his Tamir-i-Watan group with his three decades old rival Mian Muhammad Yasin Wattoo group.

More than three dozen area nazims and other political figures, including ex-MPA Ch Ziauddin and tehsil nazim Khurram Jehangir Wattoo, were also present at the press conference.

Manzoor Wattoo strongly opposed the graduation bar for contesting elections and demanded its withdrawal.

Yasin Wattoo group leaders Mian Moeen Wattoo, Malik Abbas Khokhar and Ch Zia declared their election alliance with the Tamir-i-Watan group and said that in future they would contest the general and local elections jointly.
