10 killed, 50 injured as bus overturns

KHAIRPUR, Aug 31: Ten people were killed and 50 others sustained injuries when a Sehwan-bound bus overturned near Rasoolabad on late Thursday night. The bus carried people who were coming from Lahore to attend the annual Urs of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

Those killed were identified as Ghulam Hussain 50 (Multan), Shahnaz Jogi 40 (Lahore), Malik Falak Sher 40 (Lahore), Nasir (Okara), Chand Shaikh (Multan), Jan Mohammad (Lahore), Ghulam Abbas Kori (Lahore), Rab Nawaz and Mehak Sain 60 (Rahimyar Khan). Identity of one victim could not be ascertained.

The injured were taken to hospitals in Khairpur, Ranipur and Gambat.
