Multan, Aug 30: Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has revealed that Ali Hassan Gillani, a former federal parliamentary secretary, has resigned owing to his differences with the chief minister and the PML president.

Also a favourite MPA of the chief minister, Mir Badshah Qaisrani, has switched to PPP, a press release quoted the minister as saying on Thursday.

He said the PML leaders should deal with all legislators with an open mind and shun differences to ensure the party’s success in the general election. The opposition, too, was facing split.

“Dialogues are the part of political process and news about deal had been there for the last three to four years,” he said, adding that they would raise their voice against the PPP and the PML-N no matter there was a deal.

KILLED: Four people, including a child, were killed and four others injured when a car overturned near Adda Faizabad in Rajanpur on Thursday.

Four-year-old Tanzila Bibi, Maqsood Bibi, Jannat Mai and Bahar Mai died on the spot while Tasleem Bibi, Abdul Qadeer, Jamil Ahmad and Nazim Husain, the car driver, suffered injuries. The injured were shifted to a hospital in Fazalpur.
