KARACHI, Aug 22: Test leg-spinner Danish Kaneria on Wednesday turned down a lucrative offer from the Indian Cricket League (ICL) and pledged his international future with Pakistan.

Kaneria, who is currently playing for Essex in the English County Championship, is the fourth Pakistani who has refused to join the controversial league.

“To me the greatest honour

is to represent Pakistan and I’m always available to play for the country,” Kaneria said.

“Although the money offered by the ICL was tempting, but I’ve always maintained that the greatest pleasure is playing for your country,” the leg-spinner said.
