RAWALPINDI, Aug 18: A court bailiff here on Friday recovered two children from the custody of their father and handed them over to their mother. District and Sessions Judge Khwaja Imtiaz had appointed Mehboob Awan as bailiff to recover Rozaib, 3, and Ansa, 6, from the custody of their father - Khalil Ahmed - on the application of Shaheen Sultana.

The woman had alleged that her husband snatched the children after differences cropped up among them over some domestic issues.

The bailiff accompanied by the area police raided the house of Mr Ahmed in village Banot near Jatli, Gujar Khan, and recovered the two minors. He later handed over the children to their mother.

The judge also summoned Mr Ahmed to appear before the court on August 22 for the final settlement of the children’s custody.
