KHAIRPUR, Aug 13: Chairman Sindh National Front (SNF), Mumtaz Bhutto has alleged the PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto of pursuing personal interests from the days of Ziaul Haq to President Musharraf by trying to rescue the sinking boat of the unpopular president.

Mumtaz Bhutto was speaking at a press conference at the Circuit House on Monday. He said undemocratic acts of Benazir had humiliated her to the extent that she was unable to show face even to her party’s leaders.

He said “Sindhi Jago, Sindh Bachayo” movement was being reactivated and maintained the nationalist parties/groups of inflicting loss to the cause as neither they had a programme for people nor taken practical steps to solve their problems. They only raise hollow slogans, he opined.

He claimed his party had solutions to the problems as people of Sindh were against undemocratic acts of the PPP leadership. He said President Musharraf had put the country in a difficult condition and was threatening to impose emergency to hide his weak policies.

He said a deal had been finalised between the PPP and President Musharraf through which Benazir cheated people in general and her own workers, in particular. He said people want to get rid of President Musharraf while the power hungry Benazir was giving them false hopes. Now the PPP-patriotic had been formed and there was no way for the PPP, he added.

He called upon the people of Sindh to wake up and launch a struggle for their rights. He said the national wealth was being transferred to foreign countries while people starving due to unemployment.

Senior Vice Chairman SNF, Allah Warayo Soomro and K.B. Kubar were also present.
