PESHAWAR, Aug 10: The monsoon tree plantation campaign kicked off in University of Peshawar on Friday, during which 5,000 saplings will be planted on the campus.The Dean of the Faculty of Physical and Numerical Studies, Prof Mohammad Iqbal, inaugurated the campaign by planting a sapling.

The speakers said on the occasion that the temperature at the university was two degrees Celsius less than that in the rest of the city because of thick foliage and green cover. They said nurseries would be prepared for plants, fruits and flowers.—APP
