LAHORE, Aug 9: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) could be the fourth team of a four-nation Twenty-20 tournament to be held in Kenya from Sept 1 to 4. Pakistan, Bangladesh and hosts Kenya have already confirmed their participation.

PCB Director Cricket Operations, Zakir Khan said that the negotiations were under way to also include UAE and hopefully they would also be participating.

The PCB has decided to take part in the tournament to get some practice, before taking part in the Twenty20 World Championship to be held in South Africa from Sept 11 to 24.

Asked if a practice against such lowly-rated teams would serve the purpose of gaining required practice, before the Championship, Zakir said it was just a warm-up tournament.
