NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Aug 8: Two persons were killed and 14 others injured when roof of a restaurant collapsed in Bhirya Road Town on Wednesday. People were enjoying tea in a restaurant on Bhirya Road Station when the roof caved in. Area people rescued a number of people from the rubble with recovery of a body of one Mehboob Ali Zardari, 22.

Fifteen people, including restaurant owner, Atta Mohammad Abro, Anwar Ali, Nisar Veesar, Mohammad Faheem Palh and Atif were injured. They were taken to different hospitals where injured Anwar Ali Lashari succumbed to his injuries. Mohammad Faheem was reported in critical condition.

Furniture, TV, fridge and other restaurant items were also damaged. The roof was being repaired when collapsed.

Deceased Mehboob Ali was waiting to board a train for Karachi.

Rally: About 100 people took out a rally from Haider Chowk Mehrabpur against Hesco on Wednesday. They were led by Akhtar Hussain Sehto, Ayaz Mallah, Farhan Memon and Qazi Muzaffar.

People complained that Hesco Mehrabpur was creating problems through load-shedding for several hours daily and issuing detection and inflated bills.
