BEIJING, Aug 7: The Good Luck Beijing International Hockey tournament gets underway here on Wednesday with Pakistan taking on China in the second session of the day under floodlights.

The other three teams taking part in the tournament are Australia, Malaysia and China.

Pakistan team’s coach-cum-manager, Islahuddin Siddiqui said on Tuesday that the team had had a strenuous workout during the practice session. He added that all the players were in fine health and eager to take part in the tournament with high spirits.

Meanwhile, the official dinner for all the participating teams both men and women was held Tuesday that was also participated by senior officials of FIH, IOC and the organising committee.

The first match will be played between Australia and Malaysia while Pakistan and China face each other in the second match.—APP
