LAHORE, Aug 7: Fine knocks by Hamza Zaheer and Mohammad Sami helped Combined Club of Faisalabad to pile up 321-8 in the first innings against Diamond Club, Islamabad on the second day of the PCB inter-club cricket championship final at the Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday.

Hamza hit a 205-ball 84 with nine boundaries while Sami cracked 77 with six fours and four boundaries off just 79 balls as Combined Club put up a good total in the allotted 90 overs.

Earlier, on Monday, the first day of the final was hit by rainy weather and bad light and only 11 overs were bowled with Combined Club ending the day at 42-1.

Medium-pacer Yasin Bari (3-62), Rana Shahzad (2-74) and Mohammad Nadeem (2-46) were the main wicket takers on Tuesday.

By close of play, Diamond Club were 41 without any loss in 11 overs.
