HYDERABAD, Aug 7: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil assured the people of Qasimabad and Latifabad that they will not have to face the nightmarish situation with regards to the disposal of rainwater which they faced during last year's heavy rains.

He said that in addition to the construction of Latifabad flyover, two more flyovers would be constructed in the city and added that each and every citizen will be provided with basic facilities during his tenure.

He was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the RCC road from Khuda Hafiz Board to pumping station Unit No. 11, here on Monday night.

Nazim Latifabad taluka, Sabir Hussain Kaimkhani, chairman district works and services committee, Munawar Khanzai, nazims and councillors of the area attended the ceremony.

He said it was for the first time in the history of Hyderabad that latest technology was being used for laying a network of asphalt concrete roads in the city.

About the instant road, he said that it was always inundated during the rainy season due to the flow of water from the Ghunjo Takkar hillock and therefore on the advice of technical experts, this road has been converted as an RCC road.

Kanwar Naveed Jamil said that two other main roads of the city namely Kazi Abdul Qayoom and Qadamgah Moula Ali roads were also being convened into RCC roads.

Recruitment in Air Force: Pakistan Air Force Information and Selection Centre Hyderabad has announced, here on Monday that registration for recruitment in different branches of PAF (general duty pilot, aeronautical engineer, administration, air defence, logistics and accounts) as commissioned officers will continued at the centre up to August 15.

The announcement further said that those who had passed intermediate examination (pre-medical, pre-engineering, computer science), BSc, BBA, BCom, ICMA are eligible for registration. It said that female candidates can also apply for the posts of general duty pilot and aeronautical engineer.— Bureau
