TIMERGARA, Aug 5: Prolonged and unscheduled load-shedding continues in different parts of Lower Dir district for the past two weeks, badly disrupting normal life and business activities in the area.

The duration of the power suspension has increased with each passing day, creating problems for the people.

Residents of the area say that Pesco officials have deliberately resorted to load-shedding to contain line losses and to hide their inefficiency.

The areas badly hit by load-shedding include Talash, Timergara, Maidan, Munda and Samar Bagh.

Meanwhile, the Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami and MNA from Lower Dir, Maulana Ahmad Ghafoor, and local leaders of PPP, ANP, JUI, and PML-N have warned the government that patience of the people was fast running out and they would take to streets if the Peshawar Electric Supply Corporation (Pesco) failed to end the load-shedding.
