PESHAWAR, Aug 4: Senator Maulana Rahat Hussain and MPA Syed Mureed Kazim called on NWFP Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Sardar Muhammad Idrees here on Saturday and apprised him of the problems and difficulties being faced by the people of their constituencies.

The minister, while ensuring solution to their problems on priority basis, said the government was endeavouring for the welfare of poor masses of the province without any political expediency and for this purpose transparent use of available resources was being ensured to accelerate the process of development and public welfare.

He said that efforts of the government for ameliorating the lot of the poor would continue with sincerity and there would be no compromise on this matter. He lauded the golden parliamentary traditions of the assembly members of the NWFP for overall uplift of the province.—APP
