LARKANA, Aug 4: A group of flood victims housed in relief camps in Qambar staged a demonstration on Saturday alleging the government for not properly looking after them. Dhani Bakhsh, Immauddain Chandio led the protestors who assembled outside Qambar press club.They said that their families were facing hunger and diseases while government was not providing them food and medicines.

PROTEST: Professors and lecturers pressing for the acceptance of their demands took out a procession here on Saturday.

The president of the Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA), Prof Asghar Shah, led the protest. The participants carrying banners and placards staged a sit-in outside the local press club.They demanded the early regularisation of 863 ad hoc lecturers as NWFP and Balochistan had regularised the services of ad hoc lecturers their.

The protesters criticised the MQM for its silence over the issue.

They announced that their protest would continue till the acceptance of their demands.
