HARIPUR, Aug 2: A mother and her minor son drowned in Khanpur lake here on Wednesday evening. Khanpur police said that Zaifoon Bibi, wife of Khaliqdad, was on a picnic along with her three children on the bank Khanpur lake when her son, Waleed, 3, slipped into lake. When his mother tried to rescue Waleed, she also drowned.
Bodies of the victims were taken out of the lake by divers and handed over to their family.—Correspondent
