KARACHI, July 31: Zone-I Whites and Zone-VII Whites won their respective matches to qualify for the KCCA Inter-zonal U-17 Championship semi-finals on Monday. Zone-I Whites outclassed Zone-VI Whites, registering an eight-wicket win at the KCCA Stadium.

Batting first, Zone-VI Whites could post 136 before being dismissed. Kamran Ahmed (47) remained the highest scorer. Ahsan Ali and Syed Farooq grabbed three wickets apiece. Zone-I Whites chased the target with ease losing only two wickets.In the other match, Zone-VII Whites recorded a 10-run victory confirming their place in the last-four stage of the tournament, after a thrilling encounter with Zone-IV Blues here at the TMC ground.

Batting first, Zone-VII Whites scored 183-9 in 50 overs with Hasan (34) and Hamid (33) being the chief contributors. Later in the match, Zone-IV Blues' Kamran Khan (43 not out), didn’t find any team-mate to assist him accumulate only 11 runs for victory as Zone-VII Whites bowled Blues’ team out for 173.
