PESHAWAR, July 31: NWFP Minister for Information Asif Iqbal Daudzai has claimed that the MMA government has been trying to establish an Islamic welfare society free from all sorts of corruption and malpractices in the province. At the centre the MMA is representing the aspirations of the people by opposing un-Islamic legislation.

He was addressing a public gathering at the Jogani Union Council in Daudzai on Tuesday. He said the MMA was the representative alliance of the downtrodden people and had been successful in coming up to their expectations.

The minister claimed that he had served the people of Daudzai irrespective of their political affiliations and that was why the people of the locality were joining the JUI-F in large numbers. There would be no other political party in the locality but the JUI-F in the near future.

On the occasion, Mohammad Amin and Malik Habibur Rehman announced that they were joining the JUI-F and assured the minister of extending all types of assistance for the party.

The minister announced the grant of funds for development work in the area.—PPI
