National hockey trials today

ISLAMABAD, July 27: Trials to select national hockey team to participate in next month’s international hockey tournament in Beijing will be held at the Nasir Bunda Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex, on Saturday.

Injuries have forced five players – Adnan Maqsood, Imran Warsi, Zeeshan Ashraf, Sajid Anwar and Asim Khan – to stay away from the training camp being held at the Nasir Bunda Stadium.

Other teams participating in the event are China, Malaysia and Australia.

The selected team will leave for Beijing on Aug 4.—APP
