PESHAWAR, July 25: Governor Ali Mohammad Jan Aurakzai on Wednesday presided over a meeting to discuss electricity-related issues in Fata and the settled areas. Chief Executive Pesco Brig Sakhi Marjan, Secretary to Governor Azmat Hanif, Special Secretary Fata Tipo Mahabat Khan and officials of Pesco and Tesco attended the meeting.

Mr Marjan briefed the governor on protection of installations, provision of electricity through a separate feeder to the Frontier Region in Peshawar and recovery of dues in Fata.

While discussing the issue of power supply to Peshawar, the meeting was informed that as per governor’s directive, arrangements had been made to improve supply to the city. The situation would further improve in a couple of weeks when the area would get electricity from the Matani Grid station through a separate feeder.—APP
