Russia, US to hold missile talks

MOSCOW, July 24: Russian and US experts will meet in Washington next week to discuss a controversial US plan to place elements of a missile shield in Europe, Russia's foreign minister said on Tuesday.

The opening round of talks will take place on Monday and Tuesday and will include an examination of Russian proposals “to actively involve our European partners into solving the problem of missile defence,” Interfax news agency quoted Sergei Lavrov as saying.—AFP
